Over 4 months I decided it was long enough for me to sit at my desk and almost out of the house except to go shopping or to church. Working from home has its advantages, but in the last 2 years I gained about 20 pounds, was sitting around my middle and before you knew it, I felt very very lazy.
Years ago I played squash with a friend or two and it was a blast. I was terribly out of shape though. I hadvery little resistance and was soon out of breath. Plus, I really do not know how to play the game.
So I decided that was what I do to help my health problem and needed to leave the house. So I signed up for membership at a local club and played twice a week. Just before I started playing tennis again (first I thought racquetball) and it was fun. But to be honest, is not as intense.
After an hourRacquetball is about 600 calories you burn, you have a good start to lose weight right. I want to play for about an hour and a half twice a week. Then once in a while, I would throw another day, maybe in the evening or afternoon.
Fortunately, I wanted some friends who came to me as we go and start learning the rules (more on that in a minute). Fortunately for us, was a friend of her husband retired from military service and decided to play with uswhile he was here. We found that the first game that actually played semi-professional! It 'was amazing. He made us all look terrible, but nothing helped my game more than his advice and expertise.
When you play against people who can not play, you get lazy and do not go. However, we want to talk about the rules.
Basically there are two players (in singles) and a server is to be the central field and the ball against the back wall. You mustCause the ball to the back wall and bounce on the floor behind the serving line, but without the front wall (the wall behind you) taken.
The ball may hit the side wall, but that's all. If the shots are 3 walls, is another. The server gets two attempts to put the ball in play. After the ball is in play, but anything goes. Every wall is a game and you can make the ball hit the walls so that you want.
Here's how you win. Once the ballHits the wall, you can only once on the ground must be taken before bouncing back against the wall. So if you hit the wall, the ball bounced once, the other player the ball cause the rear to beat before jumping again that is reset.
So to win, only the ball, so that the other player can not reach in time, and bounces more than once on the ground. It 'so simple, and it is not only a blast, but it is a good way to get fit.
